About Discovering Minds Montessori School
Discovering Minds Montessori School, Preschool, JK / SK, Lower Elementary Programs are rooted in the philosophy of the educator and pioneer in child development, Dr. Maria Montessori. The programs for children aged 30 months to 9 Years offer early childhood and Lower Elementary programs that creatively engage each child’s potential for learning in their formative years.
Through Montessori-based methods, math and language skills are developed. Practical life skills help children become independent and cooperative members of the community. Daily activities ground the children in self-care and care for one another and the environment.

Preschool / Junior Senior Kindergarten
Your child will explore and expand their knowledge by engaging in a variety of activities: some enjoy a snack, one child writes a story, others work in a group and the teacher introduces a new lesson to a student. The mixed age setting enables the older children to build confidence and leadership skills through teaching and helping their younger peers. At the same time, the younger children are inspired to adapt the responsible, mature behaviours seen and admired in their older classmates. These children thrive to accomplish what their elders have mastered.
